It was a real pleasure talking with Michael and Julie Peterson and their adorable, active daughters Madeline (age 3) and Claire (19 months).  They are definitely a blessing in our “Family of Faith”.

Madeline and Claire try very hard to keep their parents “active”.  Yes, they do a good job!  In fact, when I asked Julie and Michael if they had a hobby, they looked at each other, smiled and said “The children and work are their hobbies”.

Julie’s parents live near them in Nancy.  Mr. & Mrs. Branscum have a farm with cattle etc.  Michael & Julie help them when they ‘show’ the cattle and they enjoy other farm activities.  Michael’s parents live in Danville which isn’t too far away.

Michael works for K.N.S., Inc.  It is a business for animal nutrition.  Julie works at their insurance business ‘Sturm Insurance Agency’, located on Oak Hill Road.

Julie received her education at the University of Kentucky and Michael received his education in Somerset.

Michael and Julie have been married for 7 years.  They moved back to the Somerset area from Harrodsburg.

The Peterson’s have known our minister for some time and said, “The reason we joined the First Christian Church is our minister Joe Altman”.  They pray for Rev. Joe and his family and hope and pray he will get well soon.  We are blessed having him in our church.

Julie and Michael want to say that they are very grateful for our Interim Minister Doug Couch.  He is helping us so much and we appreciate his ‘words and sense of humor’.  Yes, Doug Couch helps us a lot!

The Peterson’s words from the Bible are 1 Corinthians 13:4.

Julie, Michael, Madeline and Claire would like to thank our ‘church family’ for helping them feel so welcome.

We, your ‘church family’ thank you and feel blessed having you with us — God Bless You!
